DAMP (Display-Algorithm-Procedural Modelling) is a production system based on an algorithm that randomly and automatically generates a catalogue of digital forms with infinite variations, the Displays. A digital work in its own right, but potentially translatable into different formats, like the sculptures presented here, each Display is unique and is composed by the algorithm which randomly selects and distributes several items on a previously generated table. A black lumpy material covers and unifies the Displays, like objects petrified by volcanic ash. See the dedicated website.
