The exhibition is divided into two successive and complementary parts. In the first area, paintings on glass (subjects) and digital prints made from paintings (backgrounds) form a set of eclectic but familiar images (topical subjects, art references, general illustrations, etc.) which, by deconstructing it, borrows the technical principle of traditional cartoons. The largest of the paintings cut out the spectator over a background, creating an equivalence between the background and the subjects of the painting on glass. Further on, a projected animated video film reconstructs what was separate, and apparently incoherently links the different backgrounds and subjects.
