UNE SCULPTURE (A SCULPTURE)
1996

Twenty objects similar to a book with glued pages and a cover marked UNE SCULPTURE for any indication were donated and deposited in twenty Paris public libraries, one in each arrondissement, then placed among the works of fiction by the librarians. These sculptures bear neither author’s name nor call number, but have nonetheless been registered in the libraries’ holdings, and can be borrowed in the same way as books. They can only be discovered by chance. No photographic documentation of this work has been produced.
